OK where do I start, I have been having some on going medical problems for a while so thought I have better make another appointment. Called the surgery in the morning to get an appointment spoke to a lovely lady (Kate) asking for an appointment I was told that would not be a problem (Fantastic) Anyway got my appointment so off I go to see my GP I explain my ongoing problems and that I was concerned "Please do not worry we will sort it all out" I am told by my doctor, I think you need to have a gastroscopy so we can find out what is going on. So hearing that I went home I thought I would be waiting for months knowing the pressure the NHS is under. To my amazement within 4 days I received an appointment for the following week which really put my mind at rest I went for the appointment at conquest and was totally looked after by the brilliant staff and they help me through the procedure and I received the results their and then I was told nothing to serious and would need to see my FANTASTIC doctor (Williams) I returned to my GP and was prescribed new medication. I feel I must say THANK YOU to everybody at Old Town Surgery for their fantastic support and for the unbelievable service I have received even with the NHS under so much pressure This truly is the BEST surgery in the country. And the reason why its the best is because of the BRILLIANT STAFF PS I can also recommend the online repeat prescription service and the online appointment service so simply to use and also takes some of the pressure off of the lovely reception staff Many Many Many Thanks Mr Bradley van-cliff

Receptionists proved to be helpful and friendly in dealing with queries - as did Toby. On previous visits to Dr Bavalia I have always found him to be a good listener and good at diagnosing ailments and concerns. When having to visit nursing staff they too have been outstanding in their level of care. Overall a first class practice. Can't say I am enthused about the layout and decor of the waiting area! Mustn't grumble though!

All the staff, doctors, nurses & reception try to help in every way. When I cut my leg last year the nurse saw me on the same day & followed up my appointments giving treatment & advice until I felt able to continue myself. The Doctor referred me to the eye clinic immediately he saw my eye condition & the hospital took over from there. Had I not seen him soon enough I may have lost my sight. I know it is a difficult decision but repeat prescriptions for medicine that has been taken for a long time could be dispensed for 3 months at a time. A regular female Doctor would be helpful.

I have not been with Old Town Surgery that long but each time I have had to visit I have always found the reception staff very helpful and I feel my GP has time for me and listens. I also never have any problems in booking a GP appointment through there on line booking service

Sadly after 18 years I've left this surgery because I have had to cope with rude, obnoxious, nosey & interfering receptionists. Especially the reception manager who is very brash! will back her team even though you are genuinely making a complaint. My friends & family will tell you I'm a tolerant, positive & understanding person. But over a course of time it's become unbearable to just go & see my Dr. Who I must say has been excellent. But the care after seeing a Dr in this surgery from receptionists to administration is very shabby & has got the point of being unprofessional. I am one of many so think twice before joining this surgery
